About this deal

I took the opportunity to measure the noise level of the Artillery X1 during printing, at 55 decibels, we are far below a competitor machine in the same range, which is quieter in terms of ventilation than a Creality printer (usually around 60 decibels). Power Failure Protection - Continue printing from the position where the last print was stopped during the power failure, and you can stop the continuous operation or power off. We also noticed that between the first and twentieth calibration cube, there was no major difference in finish or dimensional accuracy, making the Sidewinder X1 a very consistent 3D printer. The rods are supported by clamping shaft couplers and a high-precision belt pulley for improved stability and accuracy. I find that concept super inefficient to use, since you still have to jump into the slicer itself to change any settings, but you’re like, not actually supposed to then use the slicer directly, but instead do your object arrangement and gcode saving through Repetier Host.

What’s unique about the X1 are these flat flexible cables that are used on the Z-axis and on the X-axis. The higher flow-rates allow faster printing since the hot-end can deliver higher flows of liquid filament to the printing operation. However, users of the original model reported that the connectors were frequently disconnected as there was no way to secure them in their sockets.

The idler lever, which seems to be a problem for a lot of people out there, hasn’t been an issue for me, but the filament guide between the hobbed gear and heatbreak is. While most of the parts are common with other 3D printer manufacturers, the ribbon cables are unique to Artillery, and users must source them directly from Artillery.

if I wrote this review as soon as I got it I would have given it 5 stars but what I know now it gets 2. It has the ability to recover from a power failure or brown-out and resume where it left off on the print! The Titan style direct drive extruder insures proper feeding of the hot-end nozzle for accurate layering of the 3D object being printed. One thing to note is that this printer does take up a tremendous amount of space, with the benefit being that you really can print some huge objects!
